#22 Volleyball Sweeps Snead State
Boaz, AL – The No. 22 nationally-ranked Calhoun Warhawks continued their dominant run Tuesday night, sweeping Snead State 3–0 on the road in a battle of the top two teams in the ACCC North.
After a tight four-set contest earlier this month that featured a marathon 70-point set, the Warhawks made quick work of the Parsons this time around, winning 25–22, 25–23, 25–18.
Avery Boyd led the attack with 15 kills, while Ava Boyll added 13 kills and 10 digs. Laney Kelley and Shelby Hill contributed key points at the net, and setters Maddie Schwabe and Amber Holshouser combined for 39 assists. Defensively, Lucy Means anchored the back row with 23 digs, helping Calhoun control the match from start to finish.
Head Coach Jamiee Freeman praised her team's poise and growth, saying, "This was a big one for us. Snead's always tough, and I was proud of how we stayed composed in every set. Our group has worked hard to earn these results, and they're showing what it means to compete with confidence."
The Warhawks (24-3) will close out the regular season at home on Thursday, October 23, hosting Lawson State (12–11) at 5:30 p.m. for Sophomore Night.
