Men's Soccer Slips to 0-3 with Loss to Southwest Mississippi
Decatur, AL – The Warhawks dropped their Thursday night match to Southwest Mississippi, falling 5-0 at Jack Allen Recreation Complex. The visiting Bears struck early and often, scoring within the first three minutes and building a 5-0 lead by halftime.
The second half saw tighter play on both sides, but the match grew physical and chippy, ultimately ending with six total yellow cards issued. Despite generating a few looks forward, the Warhawks were unable to break through offensively.
"Our communication has to get better," said Head Coach Felix Obilo. "We've got to talk, stay connected, and work as a unit. That's the biggest thing we'll focus on improving before our next match."
Calhoun (0-3) will return to action on Saturday, September 13, when the Warhawks travel to take on Wallace State at 3:30 p.m.
