Bio
Felix Obilo is set to foster in a new era of Calhoun Men's Soccer in Fall 2025.
Obilo steps into leadership with a strong vision and deep experience. Appointed in spring 2025, Obilo immediately led prospect tryouts at the Jack Allen Soccer Complex in Decatur, preparing the groundwork for the Warhawks' debut in NJCAA competition. His early work is already shaping a team culture centered on discipline, character, and competitive spirit.
Before his arrival at Calhoun, Obilo balanced playing and mentoring roles, bringing invaluable on-field insight to his coaching. In 2018, he featured as a midfielder for Inter Nashville FC in the U.S. Open Cup, playing the full 90 minutes in an match against Nashville SC. His professional journey began in 2014 when he signed with the Charlotte Eagles of USL Pro, adding defensive midfield strength to the squad after earning First-Team NAIA All-American honors at Bethel University.
Obilo’s collegiate career at Bethel University in Tennessee was distinguished. A mainstay in the midfield, he was named a First-Team NAIA All-American in 2010 and contributed significantly to the Wildcats’ success during his tenure from 2008 to 2011. With roots in Nairobi, Kenya, he brought athleticism, vision, and leadership to the field.
Obilo’s journey from Nairobi to the U.S. is marked by international ambition and growing influence in American soccer. He represented Kenya at the U‑20 level before transitioning to U.S. college soccer and eventually professional play. Now, as he inaugurates Calhoun’s men’s program, Obilo aims to build a legacy rooted in his own experiences—bringing the best of collegiate excellence, professional tenacity, and international perspective to the Warhawks’ new era.
