Men's Soccer Falls to Co-Lin in First Home Match
Decatur, AL – Calhoun Men's Soccer made history Wednesday night, hosting its first-ever home match at Jack Allen Recreation Complex. The Warhawks battled throughout but came up just short, falling 1-0 to Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
The visiting Wolves struck early, scoring in the fourth minute to grab a quick lead. Calhoun settled in after the early setback and created several quality chances, but the Warhawks were unable to find the back of the net despite their efforts.
"We played hard, but we have to be sharper with our execution," remarked Head Coach Felix Obilo. "Tomorrow I want to see us communicate better, stay disciplined in our gameplan, and take advantage of the opportunities we create."
Calhoun will be back in action on Thursday, September 4, when they host Southwest Mississippi Community College at 6 p.m.
