Bio
Cameron Chafetz announed the hiring of Cooper Williams as Calhoun's pitching coach in Fall 2025, and noted Williams brings a strong background in player development, biomechanics, and collegiate-level experience to the Warhawks staff.
Most recently, Williams worked at Peak Velocity Performance, a premier pitching development facility specializing in data-driven training and biomechanics. There, he gained extensive experience in arm care, velocity development, and individualized performance plans all skills he now integrates into his coaching philosophy to help Calhoun pitchers reach their full potential.
Before beginning his coaching career, Williams enjoyed a successful playing career that began at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where he established himself as a reliable arm before transferring to NCAA Division III Belhaven University. At Belhaven, he served as a two-time team captain and led the Blazers in appearances as a junior. As a senior, he helped Belhaven make program history, earning the school’s first-ever NCAA Tournament berth and capturing its first NCAA Regional Championship.
A native of Madison, Mississippi, Williams is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree from Belhaven University, earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Belhaven, and an associate degree from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He is guided by his passion to develop pitchers both on and off the field, emphasizing leadership, consistency, and mental toughness in every athlete he works with.
