Women's Golf Finishes 6th at South District Preview
Oxford, AL – Calhoun women's golf turned in a steady performance at the NJCAA DII South District Preview, finishing sixth out of 11 teams at Cider Ridge Golf Club on September 29–30.
Hannah Hall led the way for the Warhawks, carding a two-round total of +33. Teammates Anna Lowry, Emma Thomas, and Sadie Graham each finished at +43, while Kenley Staats and Avery Proctor also contributed to the team effort.
Calhoun posted a team score of 738 for the tournament, holding their ground on a difficult layout that challenged the entire field.
Head Coach Richard Morgan said he was pleased with the group's poise, stating: "We saw a lot of progress from the girls on an incredibly challenging course. They showed great composure and continued to build on the things we've been working on. This was another positive step in their development."
Women's golf will compete again at the Snead State Invitational at Cherokee Ridge Country Club in Union Grove, AL on October 13-14.
