Women's Soccer Blanked at UT Southern JV
Pulaski, TN – Calhoun Women's Soccer dropped a 4-0 result on Sunday at UT Southern JV. The Warhawks trailed 2-0 at halftime but continued to create chances throughout the match, controlling much of the pace but struggling to finish opportunities. UT Southern, meanwhile, made the most of its chances to extend the lead and close out the match.
Head Coach Andrew McCartney saw positives despite the scoreline. "We're starting to play our game, and at no point did it feel like we were out of this one," McCartney said. "But we've got to find the back of the net. That's the last piece of the puzzle, and once we start finishing, we'll be able to put wins together."
With the loss, Calhoun falls to 1-6 on the season. The Warhawks will look to bounce back on Thursday, October 2, when they travel to take on Andrew College at 2 p.m.
