Allen, Hutchens, Rich Named ACCC Athletes of the Week
Montgomery, AL - Calhoun Community College had three student-athletes earn Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Athlete of the Week honors to kick off the 2025-2026 competition year, highlighting an exciting month for Warhawk athletics.
Jayce Hutchens – Men's Golf
Sophomore golfer Jayce Hutchens of Snead, AL (Susan Moore High School) was recognized for the week of September 22, 2025. Hutchens placed fourth overall at the RTJ Golf Trail Highland Oaks in Dothan, AL, shooting rounds of 71 and 75 for a +2 total score. His performance earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Madison Allen – Flag Football
Freshman Madison Allen, from Auburn, AL (Auburn High School), was named Athlete of the Week on September 16, 2025, following her standout performance in Calhoun's first-ever flag football contests. Playing numerous positions on both sides of the ball, Allen showcased her versatility.

Offense (2 Games): 126 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, along with 52 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.

Defense: 3 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and 4 flag pulls.
David Rich – Men's Cross Country
David Rich, a sophomore from Huntsville, AL, represented Calhoun on the course and was named Athlete of the Week on September 16, 2025, for his performance at the University of North Georgia Invitational in Dahlonega, GA. Rich completed the 8k with a time of 26:51, continuing his strong start to the season.
