Women's Soccer Continues to Build in Second Match
Tullahoma, TN - Calhoun Women's Soccer played its second-ever match on August 24, 2025, traveling back to Motlow State to face 14th-ranked Eastern Florida State College.
Although the Warhawks trailed 5-0 at halftime and ultimately fell 8-0, the weekend highlighted the team's development and growth in facing two top-20 opponents early in the season.
Head Coach Andrew McCartney reflected on the team's performance, stating: "These players made noticeable improvements this weekend, but there's still a lot to learn. Taking on two top-20 teams in our first-ever matches was a huge challenge, and I couldn't be prouder of how they faced it head-on. The growth we saw as a team is exactly what we need to build this program for the future."
The Warhawks will return home to make history with their first-ever home match on August 29, 2025, against Southern Union State at 4:00 p.m. at Jack Allen Recreation Complex.
